Here we are in the Bauges National Hunting and Wildlife Reserve, France, an exceptional site where populations of wild ungulates have been studied by the Office Français de la Biodiversité (OFB) and its partners for decades.

But now the wolf has returned to the area raising questions for local managers and stakeholders, particularly in the hunting industry. What are the effects of the wolf on the reserve’s wild ungulate populations, and in particular on their land-use behavior?

Find out in this video how the OFB’s LIFE WolfAlps EU project team within the framework of Action C3 is seeking to provide answers to this question, in order to help objectify the effect of the wolf on wild prey in our landscapes.

We talked about this study conducted in France in our previous article.

The permanent presence of wolves in the reserve has recently been confirmed!
