Second thematic platform for the renewal of strategic documents for wolf in Slovenia

On May 31, 2021, Slovenia Forest Service and Ministry of the Environment and Spatial Planning organised the second online public workshop regarding the renewal of strategic documents for wolf in Slovenia. The consolidation of the expert foundations dealt with the biology and ecology of the wolf, the limits for the management of the wolf outlined by the legislation and with the current challenges of preventive measures.

Three thematic groups worked on the draft document with long-term and short-term objectives and activities that were already identified in the first workshop in March. The debate contributed to the definition of new activities, to the new perspectives on the objectives of the strategy. The comments and propositions will be taken into account by the group of nominated representatives when preparing the text of the draft strategy.
